Empathetic support for your mental health issues
It can be extremely difficult if you or a family member are having mental health issues that are not being treated or managed effectively.
I am available to talk to you if you need to discuss any symptoms that you are having trouble coping with.
This could range from feeling low, suffering from panic attacks or trying to manage symptoms of bipolar disorder.
I can treat all ages so if you child is suffering, please book an appointment.
I can also deal with mental health issues such as:
- Psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia
- Post-natal depression
- Adult ADHD
- Child ADHD
You may have already been diagnosed with a particular issue and need further support in managing it.
Whatever stage you are at, I can help, support and treat you. I can also help your child if they have special needs. This can be if they have already been diagnosed or if you are concerned about their behaviours, milestones or emotions.
Regular support may be necessary, or perhaps just book when needed. Perhaps if you are going through a particularly bad time, such as grief or illness.
As part of my service, I offer mindfulness and life coaching packages. These can be standalone or alongside other treatments for your mental health.
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommend mindful therapies as a way to treat less severe depression. It can also help treat anxiety and living with chronic illnesses and pain.
Unlike many life coaches, I am medically trained and being a GP I follow an ethical code and adhere to regulations regarding confidentiality and ongoing education. Life coaching is an excellent way to gain insight on problems in your life such as work/life balance and better relationships.
I recognise that being the carer for someone with mental health needs can be stressful, tiring and very difficult. You want to be there for your loved one but it can be hard at times and I am here to support you with this. People often focus on the person with the mental health needs and the carer and their needs can often get neglected. Carer support is something that will always be offered to you at this practice.
